Enter Into His Rest

I want to say Happy Thanksgiving to you and all my wonderful partners and friends. I am so thankful for all the support and encouragement that you and all the amazing partners have given to me throughout this year. Together we have preached the great Gospel message of the Kingdom of God from coast to coast. Many lives have been changed, pastors encouraged and churches strengthened in their faith and vision.

As we quickly move into the holiday season, I want to encourage you to take some time to praise, thank and enter into the rest of the Lord. Things have gotten tough this year and in these final weeks it can get almost overwhelming. That is why I want to encourage you to put all your cares on the Lord and enter into His Rest.

In Philippians 4:6-7, the Word says, “6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Notice that even before we pray, we are to deal with our anxiety, worry, care and all fret. We are not to pray out of desperation but in faith. Care and anxiety will put our attention on the need. Faith and trust will put our attention on God and His ability to get us through our times of need. In I Peter 5:6-7, we are told what we are to do with our worry and anxiety. “6 Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you,7 Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.”

As we head into this holiday season, I encourage you to first, cast all your care, worry and anxiety on the Lord. Make the decision now to enjoy the holidays and trust God to meet all your needs. Second, pray and ask God to help you. Let your requests be known to God and trust Him to meet your needs. Third, lift up your voice in praise and thanksgiving unto the Lord and let His peace rule in your heart.

I believe that as we do these things, we will see God’s miraculous provision poured out to us. We will experience His peace and we will celebrate together the goodness of our God.

Once again, thank you for standing with me as my ministry partner and friend. Happy Thanksgiving and I continue to pray that God’s very best will be yours.

Partners Together,
Dr. Darrell Huffman
