God Is For Us
As I begin this letter, I want to encourage you with the Holy Spirit inspired words the apostle Paul gave to the Christians in Rome.
Romans 8:31-37, “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
No matter what is going on around us, as long as God is for us, and He is always for us, we will overcome every obstacle and in all these things we will be more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
In Matthew 24, the Lord Jesus lays out for us in a very clear and precise way of the last days events. He let us know of the terrible things that would come upon the world. All of these things are the devil's attempt to destroy as many people as he can, and to discourage as many believers as he can.
The Lord Jesus said these things would happen, so all of our praying can’t change it. But in the midst of all these terrible events the Lord shows us how to overcome and what we are to do in Mathew 24:13-14, “But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”
First, we must make a heart commitment and quality decision that none of these things are going to defeat us and pull us away from the Lord. To endure means to persevere, to have the fortitude, and to refuse to backslide and give up. When we set our faith and refuse to let the bad times defeat us, the Lord Jesus gives us the assurance that He will save us, provide for us and protect us from all of these things.
Second, we must recognize our purpose during this time. Our purpose is found in Mathew 24:14, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” We must rise up in the hour and be God’s Voice bringing the good news of the Kingdom of God to all the hurting people. We must not and cannot be silent. Each of us must look to the Lord and ask Him to give us the boldness to speak His good news to the hurting people around us. My prayer is that we all will be the Lord’s Witness of His love and salvation to all people in these troubling times.
Bonnie and I have committed ourselves to bring this gospel of the Kingdom message to as many people and to as many places as the Lord our God opens up to us. We are seeing and experiencing powerful anointing as we go forth fulfilling God’s Vision for us and this ministry. Many doors are opening and we are believing God for a great harvest for the Kingdom of God.
This month’s message will strengthen you and, I believe, help you to stand strong in faith and be victorious in these last days. I want to encourage you to visit our website, darrellhuffman.org, and also download our App, Darrell Huffman Ministries. All of the messages you’ll find on the website and the App are faith builders and you can listen to them anytime you want.
I also want to thank you and all my partners for standing with me. Through your prayers and faithful financial giving, we are able to go forth and fulfill God’s Great Commission.
As I close, I want you to know how grateful I am to partner with you and to stand with you for your needs to be met in this time we are living. I encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus, your heart filled with the Holy Spirit and your mind stayed on the Word of God. Remember in every situation that you are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus our Lord.
Until next time, I continue to pray that God’s very best will be yours!
