In I Timothy 4:13-16 the Apostle Paul gave us these instructions, “13 Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. 15 Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. 16 Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.” Paul was telling Timothy to be a self-feeder. To grow spiritually we too must develop a daily devotional time with the Lord. When we set a time every day to read, study, pray, and meditate on the things of God, it will cause us to progress spiritually, and to be better equipped to walk in victory in our own lives as well as being able to witness to others.
To better equip you to grow spiritually, I want to share with you an outline, an example devotion, and a complimentary downloadable MP3 of this message. I encourage you to learn these principles and begin today having your special time of devotion with the Lord Jesus.
