Galatians 5:6-9 says, "6) For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love. 7) You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? 8) This persuasion does not come from Him who calls you. 9) A little leaven leavens the whole lump." Thank God, our faith working through patience avails much. That means we can accomplish great things and gain great victories with our faith. Through faith we can move mountains (Mark 11:23); we can bring forth good things (Matthew 12:35); we can please God (Hebrews 11:6); and, we can defeat the devil (I Peter 5:8-9).
It just saddens me when I hear people attacking faith and trying to discourage Believers from believing and trusting God with their faith. Don't they know that to attack faith is an attack on God, and the integrity of His Word? I would rather curse and act like an unbeliever than to say God's Word doesn't work and faith will fail to get you results. At least if I did that, people would know something was wrong with me and not God.
We should not be surprised when the devil tries to hinder us from believing God. In Mark 4:14-15, the Lord Jesus teaches us, "14) The sower sows the word. 15) And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts." Notice Jesus said the devil will come immediately to steal God's Word out of our heart. Many times it's not what the devil uses but who the devil uses to try to get us out of faith. Galatians 5:7 says, "Who hindered you..." Whether it is an unbelieving sinner or a well meaning, full of doubt, empty of the Word Believer, don't let them hinder you from obeying the truth of God's Word. Your faith can and will get you through to victory.
A key to your faith getting you to the victory line is found in Hebrews 6:11-12, "11) And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, 12) that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises." Faith combined with patience is an unbeatable force. So whether your battle is severe or a minor skirmish, keep your faith and patience strong and you will win.
Study this outline and listen to this message; when it gets into your heart and becomes the truth to you, your faith will get you to the victory.

Faith and Patience
I) We are to Establish Our Faith on the Word of God
A) Mark 11:22-23 - We are to have faith in God constantly.
v.23 - Faith is released by believing in our heart and confessing what we believe. We have what we say, believing alone will not get results. We must confess and act on what we believe.
B) II Corinthians 4:13 - Our believing must be established on the written Word of God. We believe God's Word and confess it as ours.
1) Matthew 4:4,7,10 - Jesus defeated every attack of the devil by believing and confessing the written Word of God.
2) II Corinthians 1:20 - All the promises of God are yes and amen to us. If we will receive them, believe them, confess them with conviction, they will produce results in our life.
C) Hebrews 6:10-12 - Faith sometimes needs patience to receive its results.
vv. 10-12 (AMP) - When we do what God says, He joins Himself with us and expects us to finish what we started.
v. 12 - Faith and patience inherit promises.
Patience (Greek) - forbearance, fortitude, endurance
When things don't happen immediately we need patience to join with our faith.
D) Hebrews 10:35-36 - The enemy will try to discourage you and steal your confession.
v.36 - patience (Greek) - Cheerful hopeful endurance, constancy, patient endurance
Patience undergirds faith and gives it endurance to persevere until the answer comes.
E) James 1:2-4 - Tests come to try your faith, not build it.
Patience releases joy and keeps your faith strong and consistent.
Faith and patience working together will cause you to receive what God promised you.
